National Album Day: Choose Your Weapon by Hiatus Kaiyote

by | Oct 12, 2018

This album blew me away from the moment I pressed play. I’ve always appreciated quality musicians who make you feel every note, chord, phrase, drum beat or symbol-tap, alongside eccentric melodic lyrics all delivered with passion and emotion.
For me this draws me into a world of elation.
I was also fortunate to listen to this album in its entirety, prior to hearing any singles, or previous work, giving me a feeling of understanding the bands efforts in producing an album with overwhelming ambience, distracting me from anything else I was listening to, whilst fusing multiple genres creating sounds with endless possibilities.
