Canadian rockers Nickelback have returned with Make Me Love You, an emotionally charged new single that explores the uncertainty, vulnerability and emotional risk involved in opening yourself up to someone else. Following the explosive Rattle The Cage, featuring John 5, and the deeply personal Leave Me Behind, Make Me Love You, which premiered on BBC Radio 2, reveals another side of the forthcoming record, turning away from arena-sized aggression to examine the fragile space between romantic possibility and the fear of heartbreak.
At its centre, the song captures the complicated emotions that surface when the possibility of something real becomes both exciting and frightening. Opening yourself up to love inevitably carries the possibility of getting hurt, and Make Me Love You explores that tension through intimate songwriting while retaining the huge melodies and rock foundations that have defined Nickelback throughout their career.
