Speaking on the announcement, Ocean Alley said: “We had a ripper double header earlier this year in London and had such a great time across the UK in general that we wanted to come back with something extra special for 2025. We’re going to do a standalone UK headline show at Alexandra Palace in London in September! It’s gonna be our biggest show to date anywhere in the world and our only UK headline show for the year. We’ll have new music and a massive, unique live show to put on for you all. We love our UK fans and can’t wait to experience this show with you all next year at such an iconic venue!”

The news follows the release of recent single, Tangerine, the expansive and inviting track capturing the essence of a sun-drenched summer day, and the first taste of new music from the six piece since 2022’s critically acclaimed album Low Altitude Living. Last week, the band were also among the first wave of artists to be announced for next year’s Boardmasters Festival, taking place from 6th to 10th August.

Tangerine follows 12 months of staggering growth for Ocean Alley, whose unmistakable influence continues to inspire new audiences around the world – having now amassed over a billion catalogue streams. Their 6x platinum hit Confidence, taken from their 2018 breakthrough Chiaroscuro, continues to enjoy viral success with the track being used by the likes of David Beckham, Snoop Dog, FC Barcelona, Liverpool FC, Ferrari and Wimbledon in videos.

Over their 2023/2024 Australian headline shows alone, the band sold more than 65,000 tickets. Plus, with extensive touring across North America and the United Kingdom/Europe, they have respectively sold 7,000 and 10,000 more tickets year on year, with 21 of 33 shows sold out or upgraded overseas this year. The UK leg of the tour saw the band play shows in Brighton, Exeter, Bournemouth, Margate, Birmingham, Glasgow (venue upgrade) as well as sold out shows in Bristol, Manchester and concluding with two sold out shows at London’s Roundhouse.

Ocean Alley have truly emerged as one of Australia’s most beloved musical exports, never wavering in their dedication to their craft, and genuinely grounded by their passion and desire to make music. Across four critically acclaimed albums, the six-piece – comprised of Baden Donegal (vocals), Angus Goodwin (guitar), Lach Galbraith (keys/vocals), Mitch Galbraith (guitar), Tom O’Brien (drums) and Nic Blom (bass) – have unearthed a formidable global following, and with 9 accredited singles of gold or higher in AU & NZ, 1 gold accredited album in AU & NZ] in tow, this is just the beginning as their stadium-sized ambitions are poised to leave an enduring mark on the music landscape for many years to come.

Artist pre-sale is available from 9.30am on Wednesday 4th December here. Tickets go on general sale from 9.30am on Friday 6th December here.

Maya Lane On The Hurt And The Healing: From Vulnerability to Growth

On a rain-soaked evening in London, rising singer-songwriter Maya Lane celebrated the release of her brand-new EP The Hurt And The Healing with an intimate show at The Grace. Just weeks earlier, we had met under sunnier skies at The Long Road Festival, beers and whiskies in hand, denim and sunshine everywhere. Now, umbrellas and storm clouds in tow, it felt fitting that Lane’s new project, a record that navigates through storms towards moments of calm, should arrive on a night like this.
