So,  2016 might be a quiet period in the Kaiser Chiefs camp but after they released their sixth studio album that silent time came to an end. Although they’re still seen as an indie band, that last album Stay Together is much more on the pop side of a scale than the previous production Education, Education & War.

The show at O2 Arena brings out the best and the most awaited songs from band’s first two albums Employment and Yours Truly, Angry, Mob mixed well with the new material. Ricky energy goes out and beyond the stage taking fans on the greatest hits ride. This idea sells well and with the sound of Everyday I love you less and less the venue transforms into a jumping party.

As you might expect from someone who gives new aspiring artists advice on the tv talent show The Voice, Ricky knows exactly how to sell himself off. He is a great showman. And he got the ability to connect with every single fan whether it be jumping into the crowd or performing songs from a high platform which is raised in the centre of the audience. He knows what they desire and he is there to deliver it.

As the gig goes on, it becomes clear that the setlist is actually a well planned theatrical act. Opening with the hook-laden We Stay Together then wrapping up with Coming Home the show has it all from drama to emotions of joy.

“Not many bands have made it to the other side. And the reason why we keep going is because of you!” Ricky screamed from the stage as he came back for the encores of Still waiting, Ever Fallen In Love,  a great cover version of Buzzcocks hit and Oh My God closes the performance.
