Bailey Zimmerman Drops Blockbuster Sophomore Album ‘Different Night Same Rodeo’

by | Aug 8, 2025

Multi-platinum country sensation Bailey Zimmerman has released his hotly anticipated second album Different Night Same Rodeo. The 18-track set sees the Illinois native opening up more than ever, pairing his trademark, rock-powered country anthems with sharper songcraft and a broader emotional range.

Produced by longtime collaborator Austin Shawn, the album features a star-studded line-up including Luke Combs on Backup Plan, The Kid LAROI on the newly-released single Lost (complete with a Vegas-desert video), and Diplo on Ashes. Platinum-selling fan favourites Holy Smokes and New To Country also make the cut, alongside fresh tracks like Hell Or High Water, Holding On, Comin’ In Cold and last week’s surprise drop Chevy Silverado.

Zimmerman says the title was inspired by a phrase his dad used to repeat when he was growing up — “Same s***, different day” — a nod to the everyday highs and lows that fuel his storytelling. It follows his 2023 debut Religiously. The Album., which set the record for the biggest streaming debut for a country album in history and the biggest all-genre streaming debut since 2021.

Currently tearing through his sold-out New To Country U.S. summer tour, Zimmerman is bringing the new songs to amphitheatres nationwide, with support from Dylan Marlowe and Drew Baldridge.

Since first uploading songs to social media in 2020, Zimmerman has gone from viral newcomer to one of country music’s most impactful young stars, landing multiple No. 1 singles including Fall In Love, Rock And A Hard Place, and Where It Ends. His mix of grit, vulnerability, and arena-ready choruses has earned him spots on the Billboard 200, Top Country Albums chart, and line-ups alongside TV appearances on Good Morning America, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and the ACM Awards.

With Different Night Same Rodeo, Bailey Zimmerman isn’t just riding the wave of his meteoric rise — he’s holding tight to the reins, kicking up the dust, and proving he’s in this for the long haul.
