Premiere – The Kut Release New Single Hollywood Rock n Roll

by | May 22, 2018

The Kut have released their new single Hollywood Rock n Roll from their forthcoming album, Valley Of Thorns. It is just under 3 minutes of feisty punky rock and is an established live favourite.

The Kut is a London-based alternative rock project, assembled by frontwoman and and self-taught multi-instrumentalist Princess Maha. Dubbed the ‘hardest working woman in rock n roll’ Princess Maha leads The Kut with a reputation as one of the UK’s nicest, but most rocking front women ever to grace these shores, and those across Europe’s continent. With a historically fluid line up, Diana Bartmann on drums and Stella Vie on bass and providing backing vocals, complete the line up. They have received extensive radio and music press coverage from the likes of Planet Rock, BBC Introducing, Kerrang!, Metal Hammer, Big Cheese, Q Magazine and Classic Rock Magazine.

Princess Maha said of the single “We’ve been so blown away by all the support on Valley of Thorns’ You Rock! Big love to everyone who has been supporting. Hope you dig the new single xx”

Featured as one of Kerrang! Magazine’s Breakthrough Acts of the year in 2017, The Kut have noisily been going about their business of winning over rock fans and media alike with a gang of videos, legendary tour dates, singles and EPs which have culminated in the long awaited debut full length album Valley Of Thorns.

The Kut have put together a future classic album, produced by James Le Rock ( Skindred / Def Leppard / White Zombie / My Vitriol) which is poised to put these ladies over the top.

Infamous festival performances have included Download, Camden Rocks Festival, Rebellion Festival, Hard Rock Hell, Glastonbudget, Nice N Sleazy and Strummercamp and last year was spent mainly on the road across the UK, Italy, Czech Republic, Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands.

Princess Maha explains, “It’s an absolute dream come true to sign with Cargo. They are super passionate about their artists – truly one of the UK’s finest. The debut has been a long time coming, and I can’t wait for everyone to hear it”.

The album is released on 1st June 2018.

Amy Macdonald Warms A Frozen Hammersmith Apollo With Heart, Humour & Huge Hits

“Are we having a nice time so far? Are we getting a bit warmer?” Amy Macdonald grins, peering out at a Hammersmith Apollo audience bundled into coats and scarves. It’s a question that becomes a running joke throughout the night — because despite the November chill and the decidedly frugal heating, Macdonald sets about warming the 5,000-capacity venue the only way she knows how: with humour, heart, and a powerhouse performance that leaves no seat unshaken.
