Public Service Broadcasting have announced their biggest headline live show to date, set to take place at London’s Alexandra Palace on 26 September 2026. The landmark performance will celebrate 10 (+1) years of the band’s acclaimed second album, The Race For Space, marking a full-circle moment at the venue where the record was first launched.

The Alexandra Palace show follows an intense period of live activity for the band, including two sold-out Barbican performances last November and an extensive run of UK, European and North American dates — their first tour of North America in eight years. Further global live announcements are expected to follow.
Released in 2015, The Race For Space charts the story of the American and Soviet space race across nine immersive tracks, constructed using archival audio sourced from the British Film Institute. The album blends spoken-word history with soaring instrumentals and electronic propulsion, featuring moments such as John F. Kennedy’s 1962 Rice University speech, the euphoric live staple Go!, and the driving synth pulse of The Other Side. The record peaked at No.11 on the UK Official Album Chart, topped the UK Indie Albums Chart and was certified Gold by the BPI in 2021.

The album followed the band’s debut Inform – Educate – Entertain and firmly established Public Service Broadcasting as one of the UK’s most distinctive live acts. Since then, each studio release has landed in the UK Top 5, including Every Valley — an exploration of Welsh mining heritage — and Bright Magic, inspired by the cultural and sonic history of Berlin.
Most recently, the band released The Last Flight in 2024, a bold and atmospheric chronicle of the life of aviator Amelia Earhart. The project expanded their signature approach, blending historical narrative with emotional depth and momentum, and was followed byrecordings and remix projects celebrating their BBC Proms performance and the wider Last Flight era.

Willgoose, Esq. described the event as deeply meaningful, noting the significance of returning to the venue where The Race For Space was first unveiled and presenting it now as their largest headline performance to date. The band are promising a celebratory and immersive live experience worthy of one of their most enduring releases.
