Visionary artist Sananda Maitreya has announced the release of Juvenilia: The Columbia Years — a deluxe 4-LP vinyl box set celebrating his groundbreaking early albums. Set for release on 6th February 2026 via Sony Music UK and Music On Vinyl in collaboration with TreeHouse Publishing, the collection gathers four of his most influential works: Introducing The Hardline According To Sananda Maitreya (1987), Neither Fish Nor Flesh (1989), Symphony Or Damn (1993), and Vibrator (1995).
The box set marks the first time these albums have been remastered and presented together, each pressed on premium 180-gram coloured vinyl and housed in faithfully restored sleeves. It also includes new liner notes written by Sananda himself and unseen visual material from his personal archive, offering fans a deeply personal window into one of music’s most daring and transformative eras.
“These albums represent the journey of a young artist finding his voice: bold, vulnerable, and unafraid to challenge the form,” says Sananda. “It feels beautiful to finally present them together, in the spirit they were born.”
The project’s title, Juvenilia, reflects the creative fire of Sananda’s early years — a period that redefined the boundaries of pop, rock, and soul while establishing his reputation as one of the most distinctive voices of his generation. Each record captures a different chapter in his artistic evolution: the explosive debut Hardline, the experimental and genre-defying Neither Fish Nor Flesh, the lushly orchestrated Symphony Or Damn, and the sensual, groove-driven Vibrator.
The new vinyl masters were processed at Artone Studio in Haarlem, Netherlands, with sound approved personally by Sananda. The set features anti-static polylined sleeves, deluxe heavyweight uncoated packaging, and archival photography by Sheila Rock and Chris Cuffaro. Each album is accompanied by newly penned reflections from Sananda, charting his journey from breakout success to self-determined independence.
Following his early Columbia releases, Sananda Maitreya — then globally known under his former moniker — took full creative control of his career by founding TreeHouse Publishing, through which he has since released over a dozen albums including Wildcard! (2003), Angels & Vampires (2007), Prometheus & Pandora (2017), and The Pegasus Project (2024). His ongoing evolution as a writer, multi-instrumentalist, and producer continues to inspire audiences worldwide.
