Mongolian rock phenomenon The Hu return with a powerful double release, unveiling two brand new tracks – The Men and Warrior Chant – alongside news of an extensive UK and European headline tour later this year.
Out now via Better Noise Music, the new material sees the band continuing to refine their unmistakable “Hunnu Rock” sound – a fusion of traditional Mongolian instrumentation, throat singing and modern heavy rock. Both tracks offer distinct but complementary sides of their sonic identity, further expanding a style that has propelled them onto the global stage.
The Men arrives with an accompanying video and leans into the band’s more atmospheric and philosophical side. Built on traditional string textures and hypnotic vocal delivery, the track explores themes of inner strength and positive masculinity. Frontman Galaa describes it as rooted in Mongolian philosophy, focusing on the concept of inner spirit and the importance of strength guided by kindness and purpose.
In contrast, Warrior Chant channels the band’s heavier instincts, driven by pounding rhythms, metallic riffs and the galloping pulse of the morin khuur (horsehead fiddle). It’s a track that taps directly into the primal energy that has become synonymous with The Hu’s live shows, with the band hinting at further stylistic exploration on their forthcoming third album.
The release follows a string of high-profile collaborations and appearances, including their recent contribution to the One Piece soundtrack, further cementing their crossover appeal across music, film and gaming worlds.
With momentum continuing to build, The Hu have also confirmed a major UK and European headline tour for September and October 2026, joined by special guests SKÁLD. The run follows a landmark summer appearance alongside Iron Maiden at Knebworth Park this July.
Promising a brand new setlist and an updated live production, the band have teased a “fiery” return to stages across the UK and Europe, bringing their genre-defying sound to some of the continent’s most iconic venues.
