The Pretty Reckless Announce New Album ‘Dear God’, Share Punk-Driven Single ‘When I Wake Up’ And Confirm 2026 UK Tour

New York rock outfit The Pretty Reckless have unveiled details of their upcoming album Dear God, set for release on 26th June 2026 via Fearless Records. Alongside the announcement, the band have shared the album’s explosive lead single When I Wake Up and confirmed a run of UK headline shows for later this year.

The new record marks the Taylor Momsen-fronted band’s first album in five years and will feature 14 tracks. Positioned as the start of a fresh creative era, Dear God promises one of the band’s most emotionally candid releases to date, leaning heavily into raw storytelling and an unfiltered approach to songwriting.

A description accompanying the announcement suggests the album captures the group embracing vulnerability while maintaining the intensity that has defined their sound. Built around diaristic lyricism and uncompromising rock arrangements, the record is intended to showcase a band pushing themselves creatively while staying true to the grit and power that have long driven their music.

Lead single When I Wake Up sets the tone for that new chapter. Driven by urgent guitars and a punchy, punk-leaning energy, the track blends the band’s heavier instincts with Momsen’s unmistakable vocal presence. The result is a song that balances high-octane rock momentum with the emotional depth that has become a hallmark of the band’s work.

Momsen says of the track: “When I Wake Up is the story of a dream becoming a nightmare. When a life of excess leads you on a rollercoaster that is doomed to crash but you just can’t see it. It’s a good time…”

Since emerging in the early 2010s, The Pretty Reckless have established themselves as one of modern rock’s most consistent chart forces, scoring multiple No.1 singles on rock radio and sharing stages with artists such as Soundgarden, Guns N’ Roses and AC/DC. Their last album, Death By Rock And Roll, further cemented the band’s reputation for arena-sized riffs paired with emotionally direct songwriting.

The band will storm this year’s Download Festival ahead of dropping Dear God but the band will return to the UK in November for a string of headline dates across the country. The tour will see them play some of the UK’s most iconic rock venues, including a return to iconic London venue O2 Academy Brixton.
