Fresh from the viral success of her breakout hit Back To Jack, international country-pop powerhouse Twinnie is back with a new single, Giddy Up. Co-written with Autumn Marie Buysse and Nicole Alexis, Giddy Up is a swagger-soaked, feel-good anthem that straddles the line between breakup banger and dance-floor invitation. It’s all playful sass and punchy hooks, with a dose of yeehaw for good measure. Flirty lines like “Take my hand and spin me / Show all your exes that you’re with me” turn heartache into a victory lap, with Twinnie’s confident delivery inviting listeners to dance their way through the ashes of heartbreak.
“This song is about rising from the ashes of heartbreak and reclaiming your joy,” Twinnie says. “It’s cheeky, bold, and meant to make you feel unstoppable; like you could take on the world in heels and a Stetson.”
The British-born, Nashville-based artist has been making serious waves on both sides of the Atlantic. Recent months have seen her U.S. arena debut in Las Vegas, a set at Glastonbury Festival, and the CMT-championed Back To Jack lighting up a Paramount+ billboard in Times Square. She’s also set to appear in an upcoming BBC documentary alongside Dolly Parton, Lainey Wilson and Chris Stapleton.
Since releasing her BBC Radio 2 Album of the Week debut Hollywood Gypsy in 2020, Twinnie has become one of country-pop’s most exciting boundary-breakers. Her expansive 2024 album Something We Used To Say was hailed by NPR as one of the best albums of the month, while her U.S. label debut EP Welcome To The Club has racked up over 24 million streams. She’s shared stages with Sheryl Crow, Lainey Wilson and Chase Rice, made her Grand Ole Opry debut, and in 2023 became the first British artist to sing the U.S. National Anthem at GEODIS Park in Nashville.
Outside of music, Twinnie is also a prolific songwriter (credits include Kylie Minogue and Bryan Adams), an award-winning creative director, and an actor — most recently joining the cast of Emmerdale. She’s the founder of mental-health charity I Know A Woman, which successfully campaigned to make therapy a standard part of music industry contracts during the pandemic.
With over 30 million streams, a growing global fanbase, and an unshakeable commitment to amplifying underrepresented voices, Twinnie’s latest track is more than just a song — it’s another bold stride in a career that refuses to be boxed in.
