YES Announce 2026 UK Tour Celebrating ‘Fragile’

by | Sep 16, 2025

Progressive rock legends YES have announced their return to the UK with a nine-date tour in spring 2026, following the huge success of their Classic Tales Of Yes trek in 2024. The run kicks off at Glasgow’s Royal Concert Hall on 22nd April and culminates with a two-night stand at London’s iconic Palladium on 3rd and 4th May.

This time, the band will perform their landmark 1971 album Fragile in its entirety, alongside a selection of material spanning their five-decade career — from their early ’70s classics to 2023’s Mirror To The Sky and even hints of a brand new album expected in 2026.

Fragile, the band’s fourth studio record, marked the arrival of keyboardist Rick Wakeman and introduced a distinctive new dimension to YES’s sound. The album achieved platinum status in the UK, hit the Billboard Top 5 in the U.S., and included the enduring hit Roundabout. Its striking artwork also marked the beginning of YES’s collaboration with artist Roger Dean, whose visionary paintings went on to define the band’s visual identity. Each show on the 2026 tour will feature a gallery of Dean’s work.

Speaking about revisiting Fragile, guitarist Steve Howe reflected: “After The Yes Album, everything seemed to align. With Eddie Offord co-producing, and each of us contributing solo pieces, Fragile became a bold statement of creativity. It was Bill Bruford’s idea to include individual showcases — it was a bit oddball, but it captured the spirit of the time.”

Howe added of the upcoming shows: “We’re all looking forward to the UK dates and will be presenting an intriguing first set, then all of Fragile in its entirety, then a slight diversion before our usual final encore. See you all then.”

YES’s current line-up features long-serving guitarist and producer Steve Howe, keyboardist Geoff Downes, vocalist Jon Davison, bassist Billy Sherwood (personally chosen by the late Chris Squire), and drummer Jay Schellen, who worked closely with Alan White before officially joining the band in 2023.

With a career spanning over five decades, sales of more than 50 million albums, a GRAMMY® Award, and induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, YES remain one of the most influential and enduring names in progressive rock. Their groundbreaking ’70s albums — The Yes Album, Close To The Edge, Tales From Topographic Oceans, and Relayer — continue to inspire generations of musicians and fans alike.

“Are we having a nice time so far? Are we getting a bit warmer?” Amy Macdonald grins, peering out at a Hammersmith Apollo audience bundled into coats and scarves. It’s a question that becomes a running joke throughout the night — because despite the November chill and the decidedly frugal heating, Macdonald sets about warming the 5,000-capacity venue the only way she knows how: with humour, heart, and a powerhouse performance that leaves no seat unshaken.
