Yungblud Expands Idols Era With ‘Idols II’ And Grammy Triumph

by | Feb 20, 2026

Britain’s biggest rock export Yungblud has announced the second instalment of his ambitious concept project, Idols II, set for digital release on 20th February 2026.

Arriving as the next chapter in the Idols story, the new release adds six brand new tracks to the era, alongside a reworked version of Zombie featuring The Smashing Pumpkins. The focus track Suburban Requiem lands alongside the album’s release, accompanied by a visualiser.

Speaking about the evolution of the project, Yungblud describes Idols II as a turning point: “Part 1 was a journey that helped me reclaim my identity from the darkest position I’ve ever been in my life. Part 2 is about realising that I am alive, that I am real, that this journey that I’ve been on didn’t kill me. It’s about realising that you can feel invincible when you actually feel yourself.”

The original Idols album, released in June 2025, became his third consecutive UK Number One album, further cementing his dominance on the Official Albums Chart. Its theatrical scope and emotional rawness marked a defining moment in his career — one that now finds expansion and resolution in this second chapter.

The announcement follows a landmark year for the Yorkshire-born artist. Earlier this month, he took home ‘Best Rock Performance’ at the GRAMMY® Awards for his rendition of Changes, performed at Villa Park during Black Sabbath’s Back To The Beginning concert. With three nominations across the rock categories, he became the first British artist to achieve that feat in a single year.

Physically, Idols II will be available in multiple formats, including a Yungblud store-exclusive Idols (Complete) 180g 2LP vinyl and CD featuring all 19 tracks across Idols and Idols II, as well as a silver transparent vinyl edition of Idols II with new artwork.

As the Idols era continues to expand, fans will have the chance to experience the new material live when Yungblud’s sold-out UK arena tour kicks off in April, culminating in a major headline show at The O2 Arena in London.
