All Points East Ups The London Day Festival Game For 2024

The summer season is truly kicking off, with festivals taking place up and down the country. So now’s the time to look forward to August in London and the return of the widely popular All Points East series of day festivals taking place across two weekends at East London’s Victoria Park.

First up is groundbreaking DJ and producer Kaytranada who headlines on Friday 16th August. Joining him is a huge supporting line-up including Victoria Monét, Thundercat, Lancey Foux, Channel Tres, Amaarae, Jyotyand many more. Hailing from Montreal, Kaytranada has captivated audiences around the globe with his genre-defying style and unparalleled talent. From Grammy-winning albums to chart-topping singles, he has cemented his status as one of the most influential artists in contemporary music. With his innovative fusion of electronic, hip-hop, and R&B elements, Kaytranada has garnered widespread acclaim and a devoted global following. His debut studio album, 2016’s 99.9%, featured guest appearances from Phonte, Craig David, Vic Mensa, Little Dragon and more, notonly earning critical praise but also securing him the prestigious Polaris Music Prize. His follow-up record, Bubba, won him two Grammy Awards, including Best Dance/Electronic Album, making history as the first black artist to win in this category.

Revered artist and inimitable live performer Loyle Carner continues proceedings at Victoria Park on Saturday 17th August. He’ll be joined by special guests Nas, Ezra Collective, Sainté, Joe James, ENNY and Navy Blue. Carner has graced massive festival shows and venues across the UK and beyond in 2023, with the Wembley OVO Arena in London a career standout. This was followed by a string of packed out festival appearances over the summer, including a headline slot at Glastonbury’s West Holts stage, Primavera Sound and most recently, the legendary Royal Albert Hall. Carner, with some very special guests and an electrifying live-band, joined the ranks of star-studded performers that have appeared at the iconic venue over the past century.

All Points East follows a string of rapidly sold-out shows across the capital, and will be a continuation and evolution of his esteemed live performance legacy. OutKast’s André 3000, Lianne La Havas, Flying Lotus, Cymande, Glass Beams, berlioz playing a DJ set, Nubya Garcia, Songer, Lola Young, MRCY, Dana and Alden and Bricknasty also play the date.

Making her festival headline debut, the globally celebrated artist Mitski will headline All Points East on Sunday 18th August. Joining Mitski in London’s Victoria Park are special guests Beabadoobee, TV Girl, Ethel Cain, Arlo Parks, Sir Chloe, Wasia Project, Infinity Song, Wisp, Towa Bird, Strawberry Guy and bby.

This All Points East headline show will also mark Mitski’s final performance in Europe supporting her globally acclaimed latest album, The Land Is Inhospitable And So Are We. Joining Mitski will also include Men I Trust, actress & musician Suki Waterhouse, Dan Whitlam, Lucius, Good Neighbours, Hana Vu, Molly Payton, Emily Jeffri, Sienna Spiro, and Jacob Alon.

Kicking off All Points East’s second weekend, the phenomenal LCD Soundsystem will headline on Friday 23rd August 2024. Joining them are an exceptional supporting line-up including elusive pop phenomenon Jai Paul, alt-rock legends Pixies, plus Floating Points, Jockstrap, Nation of Language, Sofia Kourtesis and Eyedress. LCD Soundsystem are one of the US’s most acclaimed and influential bands. Starting out in 2002 and driven by the vision of James Murphy, they released multiple singles in the lead up to their acclaimed self-titled debut-including the signature song Losing My Edge and the timeless Daft Punk Is Playing At My House. Also joining the day’s line-up will be Joy (Anonymous), The Kills, NewDad, Joe Goddard, MS Paint, Monobloc, Dove Ellis and Nick Ward.

With Field Day taking over Victoria Park on 24th August, All Points East 2024 wraps up with an incredible co-headline appearance by Pacific Northwestern indie-rock pioneers The Postal Service and Death Cab For Cutie, two groups pioneered by Bremerton, Washington-hailing Ben Gibbard and marking The Postal Service’s first appearance in London for over 10 years! To celebrate two decades of Give Up and Transatlanticism, The Postal Service and Death Cab For Cutie have joined forces for an unprecedented 20th anniversary co-headline tour. Now heading back to London, this show will continue the huge anniversary celebrations. Each night, Benjamin Gibbard, the co-founder of both bands, will pull double duty performing with The Postal Service–comprised of Gibbard, Jimmy Tamborello, and Jenny Lewis–as well as with Death Cab For Cutie alongside Nick Harmer, Dave Depper, Zac Rae, and Jason McGerr. The extraordinary show will see both iconic groups performing their seminal 2003 albums in full.
