Arriving alongside a surreal new video directed by Douglas Dulgarian—a frequent collaborator and member of They Are Gutting A Body Of WaterNo Evil continues to showcase Mendez’s distinct, deeply introspective songwriting style. The video’s uncanny imagery, featuring CPR dummies and fragmented urban landscapes, mirrors the song’s quiet unease and emotional ambiguity.

Speaking about the track, Mendez reflects on a sense of internal dislocation, describing a blurred boundary between inner thoughts and the digital world. Rather than directly explaining that feeling, he frames the song as something more abstract—an emotional landscape that exists without needing to define itself.

Beauty Land marks Mendez’s first full-length release since his breakthrough self-titled album in 2023, a record that emerged after more than a decade of writing and recording largely under the radar. The new album builds on that foundation, delving into themes of grief, love and addiction with a sharper, more focused clarity.

Recorded primarily to tape in a small, makeshift home studio in Philadelphia, the album was largely created in solitude. That isolation feeds directly into its sound—intimate, unvarnished and emotionally immediate. Across the record, Mendez adopts the voice of a narrator who balances cynicism with compassion, crafting songs that are quietly devastating yet never self-indulgent.

Musically, Beauty Land blends delicate, shimmering guitar work with understated pop sensibilities, allowing Mendez’s fragile, expressive voice to take centre stage. The result is a collection of songs that feel both deeply personal and universally resonant, continuing to cement his reputation as one of the most compelling voices in contemporary indie songwriting.

In support of the album, Mendez has announced an extensive run of North American tour dates throughout the summer, joined by Scarlet Rae on select dates and Maria BC later in the run.

Fire In The Concrete: The Prodigy Turn Wembley Into A Rave Warzone

There’s no easing into a Prodigy show in 2026—no atmospheric intro, no gentle escalation. The lights drop at London’s iconic Wembley Arena and, without ceremony, Omen detonates. The effect is immediate and physical. Bass surges through the floor, the crowd lurches forward, and within seconds the arena stops behaving like a seated venue and starts acting like a pressure cooker.
