The tour follows the release of her latest album Iris Silver Mist, a deeply immersive and conceptual record that continues to push the boundaries of her multidisciplinary artistry. Tickets for the newly announced dates go on general sale Wednesday 25th March at 10am (UK time).

On Iris Silver Mist, Hval crafts a sensory experience that blurs the lines between sound, memory and physical presence. Inspired by fragrance—specifically a scent created by Serge Lutens—the album unfolds like perfume itself, with layers that evolve over time. Songs bleed into one another, creating a fluid, almost intangible atmosphere that mirrors the way scent lingers and transforms.

The record’s origins trace back to the absence of live music during the pandemic, a period in which Hval turned to perfume as a way of reconnecting with sensation and presence. That exploration fed directly into the album’s creation, which began not in the studio but in a series of experimental live performances. During these shows, she introduced early versions of the songs surrounded by unconventional elements, including rice cookers emitting scent into the space—an approach that reinforced the physical and intimate nature of her work.

Blending avant-garde pop, spoken word and conceptual art, Hval has long carved out a unique space in contemporary music. With Iris Silver Mist, she continues to challenge expectations, creating a body of work that is as tactile and emotional as it is sonically adventurous.

This summer’s tour offers audiences a rare chance to experience that vision in a live setting, where the interplay between sound, space and sensation is central to her performance.
