Josh Groban Shines Bright With New Career-Spanning Album ‘Gems’

by | May 2, 2025

Josh Groban is entering a new era of reflection and celebration with the release of Gems, a deeply personal, career-spanning collection out now via Reprise Records. Marking more than two decades in the spotlight, the 18-track compilation captures the heart, soul, and versatility of one of the most beloved voices in modern music.

From sweeping cinematic ballads to Broadway showstoppers and stirring pop-classical fusions, Gems traces Groban’s artistic journey with the grace and gravity that have defined his sound since the beginning. “I’m so excited to release this collection of songs that have played such an important role in my life and career so far,” Groban said. “These ‘gems’ have been there for me when I’ve needed them most, and to share them on one album fills me with gratitude.”

Two brand-new songs—Be Alright and Open Hands—serve as emotional anchors for the album. Be Alright, in particular, has already made waves with its message of optimism and resilience. Performed live on Good Morning America and again during his guest appearance on American Idol, the track feels like a balm for these turbulent times. It’s Groban at his most uplifting, reinforcing his uncanny ability to speak to universal feelings with elegance and clarity.

The album also features his most iconic tracks, including You Raise Me Up, the 3x Platinum anthem that launched him into superstardom and has since become a timeless staple at weddings, graduations, and global tributes. Other highlights include To Where You Are, a Billboard Adult Contemporary #1 that first introduced fans to Groban’s ethereal tone; Evermore from Disney’s Beauty And The Beast remake; and covers of beloved classics like Pure Imagination, Over The Rainbow, and Bridge Over Troubled Water.

Groban’s collaborative spirit also shines, particularly in his passionate duet with Kelly Clarkson on All I Ask of You from The Phantom Of The Opera—a nod to his deep connection with musical theatre.

Adding a collector’s touch, a limited-edition crystal-clear vinyl pressing of Gems is due out on 13th June. The double LP features two exclusive bonus tracks, Broken Vow and Remember When It Rained, both handpicked by Groban himself for their emotional resonance and long-standing popularity with fans.

In celebration of Gems, Groban will take to the stage for a five-night Las Vegas residency, Josh Groban: Gems — Exclusive Las Vegas Engagement, held at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace on 9th, 10th, 14th, 16th, and 17th May. These performances promise a once-in-a-lifetime experience that bridges the intimacy of his ballads with the grandeur of his full stage productions.

Later in the year, Groban will return to the storied Hollywood Bowl for two special nights (5th and 6th September), performing with the LA Philharmonic conducted by Thomas Wilkins. These performances will spotlight selections from Gems and beyond, offering longtime fans and newcomers a sweeping musical journey beneath the stars.

With Gems, Groban not only celebrates a remarkable career — he reaffirms his place as one of music’s most enduring and transcendent voices. This album isn’t just a greatest hits collection; it’s a carefully curated love letter to the fans, songs, and moments that have shaped his path so far.

Stay tuned—Josh Groban’s journey is far from over, and Gems is just the beginning of a new chapter.
