Lorde Announces 2025 ‘Ultrasound’ World Tour Dates Including Stop At London’s O2 Arena

Alt-pop icon Lorde has officially announced her long-awaited return to the global stage with the Ultrasound 2025 headline tour, marking her biggest and most ambitious live run yet. The announcement comes hot on the heels of the reveal of her upcoming fourth studio album, Virgin, due out on 27th June.

Kicking off this September, the Ultrasound tour will span both North America and Europe, bringing Lorde to some of the most iconic arenas and amphitheaters around the world — including first-time headlining slots at Madison Square Garden in New York, Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado, The Kia Forum in Los Angeles, and London’s O2 Arena.

This 40-date tour will showcase the evolution of the 27-year-old New Zealander, whose genre-defying blend of alt-pop, poetic lyricism, and commanding stage presence has earned her global acclaim. Support acts vary by location and include an impressive lineup of cutting-edge artists such as Blood Orange, The Japanese House, Nilüfer Yanya, Empress Of, Jim-E Stack, Chanel Beads, and Oklou.

The tour announcement arrives alongside growing excitement for Virgin, Lorde’s first studio album since 2021’s Solar Power. The project was teased with the release of the emotionally urgent single What Was That, co-produced by Lorde, Jim-E Stack, and Dan Nigro. Early reactions have praised the track’s raw vulnerability and sonic depth, signaling a bold new chapter for the artist. The album promises an intimate exploration of themes like identity, inner transformation, and emotional clarity.

In a social media post accompanying the announcement, Lorde emphasised the importance of reconnecting through live music, writing, “I’ve been building this world in private, and now it’s time to bring you inside it.” The Ultrasound tour pre-sale begins Wednesday, 14th May at 10am local time, with general sale tickets available from Friday, 16th May at 10am local via her official website.
