This 40-date tour will showcase the evolution of the 27-year-old New Zealander, whose genre-defying blend of alt-pop, poetic lyricism, and commanding stage presence has earned her global acclaim. Support acts vary by location and include an impressive lineup of cutting-edge artists such as Blood Orange, The Japanese House, Nilüfer Yanya, Empress Of, Jim-E Stack, Chanel Beads, and Oklou.

The tour announcement arrives alongside growing excitement for Virgin, Lorde’s first studio album since 2021’s Solar Power. The project was teased with the release of the emotionally urgent single What Was That, co-produced by Lorde, Jim-E Stack, and Dan Nigro. Early reactions have praised the track’s raw vulnerability and sonic depth, signaling a bold new chapter for the artist. The album promises an intimate exploration of themes like identity, inner transformation, and emotional clarity.

In a social media post accompanying the announcement, Lorde emphasised the importance of reconnecting through live music, writing, “I’ve been building this world in private, and now it’s time to bring you inside it.” The Ultrasound tour pre-sale begins Wednesday, 14th May at 10am local time, with general sale tickets available from Friday, 16th May at 10am local via her official website.

This tour represents a full-circle moment for Lorde, who catapulted to fame as a teenager with her breakout hit Royals and has since become one of the most innovative voices in pop. With her new album and this expansive tour, Lorde looks poised to once again redefine the landscape of modern pop performance.
