by | Sep 4, 2025

The Last Dinner Party have unveiled details of a huge 35-date headline tour alongside the announcement of their hotly anticipated second album, From The Pyre, due 17th October via Island EMI. The run kicks off at Dublin’s 3Arena on 14th November before winding through the UK and Ireland, culminating in a pair of shows at London’s O2 Academy Brixton on 7th and 8th December. The five-piece then head to Australia in January, Europe in February, and close the tour at Oslo’s Sentrum Scene on 6th March 2026.

The Londoners headed into the studio earlier this year with GRAMMY®-winning producer Markus Dravs (Wolf Alice, Florence + The Machine, Björk) to record the follow-up to their chart-topping debut Prelude To Ecstasy. Where that record introduced them as one of Britain’s most exciting new bands, From The Pyre promises to be darker, more raw, and more expansive.

“The Pyre itself is an allegorical place in which these tales originate,” the band explain. “It’s a place of violence and destruction but also regeneration, passion and light… this record feels a little darker, more raw and more earthy; it takes place looking out at a sublime landscape rather than seated at an opulent table.”

Lead single This Is The Killer Speaking has already hinted at this new direction, pairing mythic imagery with the band’s knack for soaring, theatrical indie rock. Check it out below:

With two BRIT Awards already under their belt—including Breakthrough Artist earlier this year—and a reputation for selling out shows across the globe (including three nights at London’s Eventim Apollo), The Last Dinner Party’s ascent has been nothing short of meteoric. Their arrival in 2023 was heralded as one of the most thrilling debuts in recent memory, and this new album-cycle looks set to push them even further.

“Are we having a nice time so far? Are we getting a bit warmer?” Amy Macdonald grins, peering out at a Hammersmith Apollo audience bundled into coats and scarves. It’s a question that becomes a running joke throughout the night — because despite the November chill and the decidedly frugal heating, Macdonald sets about warming the 5,000-capacity venue the only way she knows how: with humour, heart, and a powerhouse performance that leaves no seat unshaken.
