Country superstar Lainey Wilson is the subject of a brand new documentary, Lainey Wilson: Keepin’ Country Cool, which is out now on Netflix.
Released on 22nd April, the film offers an in-depth look at Wilson’s rapid rise and defining influence on modern country music, capturing the energy, work ethic and personality that have made her one of the genre’s most prominent figures.
The documentary arrives amid a huge year for Wilson, who is currently nominated for seven honours at the Academy Of Country Music Awards, including Entertainer of the Year, a category she has already won twice consecutively. She is also set to headline major US festivals Stagecoach Festival and New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival this spring.
Continuing her prolific run of releases, Wilson has recently teamed up with Miley Cyrus for a new version of Younger You, while also sharing her latest solo track Can’t Sit Still. The latter offers a snapshot of her relentless pace as a global artist, blending driving rhythms with lyrics that reflect her non-stop lifestyle.
Wilson’s recent achievements extend beyond music. She made her film acting debut in the adaptation of Reminders Of Him and continues to expand her creative reach across fashion and media. Her previous album Whirlwind—including the chart-topping Somewhere Over Laredo—further cemented her status as a leading voice in contemporary country.
A member of the Grand Ole Opry, Wilson has built a catalogue of major hits including Heart Like A Truck, Watermelon Moonshine and Wildflowers And Wild Horses, alongside collaborations with artists such as Jelly Roll, HARDY and Cole Swindell.
With Keepin’ Country Cool now streaming, Wilson’s story continues to unfold at pace, marking another milestone in what is already a standout career.
