Louise Aubrie Unveils ‘Midnight Calls’, Bridging London Grit With LA Glamour

by | Apr 21, 2026

London-born indie rocker Louise Aubrie returns with her striking new single Midnight Calls, a bold and cinematic introduction to her forthcoming sixth studio album LFA. The track not only marks the beginning of a new era for Aubrie, but also reflects the transatlantic life that has come to define her artistry.

Having first developed her sound in the UK before immersing herself in the underground scenes of New York, Aubrie has long drawn inspiration from the cities she inhabits. With LFA, however, she leans fully into her time spent in Los Angeles, where the album was both written and recorded. Sessions took place at the legendary EastWest Studios on Sunset Boulevard, with production and mixing handled by Ken Sluiter. The result is a record shaped by late-night drives, neon-lit streets, and the lingering mythology of Hollywood’s golden age.

Midnight Calls captures that atmosphere with precision. Built around tight, punchy instrumentation and a confident vocal delivery, the track balances indie rock grit with a sense of widescreen drama. Lyrically, Aubrie explores the emotional push-and-pull of relocation — the excitement of new beginnings set against the disorientation of leaving something familiar behind. The song’s imagery, from the Hollywood Hills to fleeting moments of connection in the early hours, evokes a life lived between time zones, where creativity often emerges in the quietest, most unexpected moments.

That sense of duality runs throughout Aubrie’s career. From recording at Abbey Road Studios to performing at iconic venues like The 100 Club in London and The Bowery Electric in New York, she has steadily built a reputation as an artist unafraid to evolve. Collaborations with accomplished musicians such as Keith Scott, Roger Joseph Manning Jr., Solomon Walker and Charlie Paxson have further shaped her sound, blending classic influences with a modern indie edge.

Her debut album Fingers Crossed…, produced by Boz Boorer, laid the groundwork for this journey, earning radio support and establishing Aubrie as a distinctive voice on both sides of the Atlantic. Since then, she has continued to refine her songwriting, leaning into personal storytelling while expanding her sonic palette.

With LFA described as a love letter from London to Los Angeles, Midnight Calls feels like the perfect opening chapter — a track that not only reflects where Aubrie has been, but where she’s heading next. It’s a confident, atmospheric statement from an artist who has found inspiration in movement, change, and the spaces in between.
