Mysterious Band Amongst 22 New Names Announced For Download Festival 2025!

Following on from their colossal first announcement – where it was revealed Green Day, Sleep Token and Korn will headline the UK’s biggest Rock Festival – Download Festival today announced 22 new artists joining this summer’s lineup.

American big hitters Shinedown and Rise Against are no strangers to Download, and are set to play the highest slots of their careers so far.

Myles Kennedy makes his almost annual appearance, with the Alter Bridge front man showcasing his solo material this time round.

Other high profile artists announced today include Opeth, AWOLNATION, Power Trip, Hatebreed, Municipal Waste, Twin Atlantic and Palaye Royale.

Senior Download booker Kamran Haq says: “We’re really proud of the variety in our line up this year. In our second announcement, we have huge artists like Rise Against, Shinedown and Palaye Royale, plus bands from across the whole rock spectrum, from Municipal Waste, Cattle Decapitation, Power Trip and Hatebreed, through to AWOLNATION, Kids In Glass Houses, Twin Atlantic and Elliot Minor. We truly think there’s something to suit everyone’s tastes, and of course there are still more surprises to come. We can’t wait for June!”

Shinedown can’t wait to return to Download, commenting: “Playing Download is an unforgettable experience. The UK crowd is always electric, and there’s nothing like the feeling of thousands of voices singing with us. Get ready, because we’re bringing everything we’ve got!”
