Nothing But Thieves – Launch of #IAMWHOLE for World Mental Health Day

by | Oct 10, 2017

This morning, alt rock band and Southend’s finest Nothing But Thieves launched the #IAMWHOLE campaign at London’s famous BT Tower and performed an exclusive acoustic set.

10 October 2017 marks World Mental Health Day and the band have lent the title track of their sophomore album, Broken Machine, to highlight the cause. They played a special acoustic set to an intimate crowd to raise awareness and highlight the #IAMWHOLE campaign – the brainchild of the NHS and YMCA as a direct response to mental health difficulties experienced by young people throughout the UK. This year the campaign is specifically looking to tackle the harmful language and negative stereotypes that surround mental health.

A host of high profile people from the world of music, TV and sport have pledged their support for the campaign, including Radio 1 DJ Nick Grimshaw, musicians Ella Eyre and Professor Green and comedian Romesh Ranganathan and the campaign video is fronted by Rizzle Kicks and Wildhood’s Jordan Stephens.

In support of the campaign, Nothing But Thieves have also recorded an exclusive, orchestral version of Broken Machine. It highlights Conor Mason’s multi-octave and haunting voice and the result is stunning.

RockShot Mag is proud to support the campaign #IAMWHOLE for World Mental Health Day.
