The new track sees the band pushing their distinctive “Hunnu Rock” sound into even heavier and more cinematic territory. Blending traditional Mongolian throat singing, morin khuur instrumentation and thunderous modern rock production, Lost Soul delivers an atmospheric collision of cultures while maintaining the primal intensity that has made The Hu one of heavy music’s most unique success stories in recent years.

Speaking about the collaboration, vocalist and morin khuur player Galaa explained: “To not get lost on your journey, keeping your values and making your way through life with the courage to face obstacles – these are the messages we are sending our fans with this song.” Hawkins added that working with the band was “unlike anything” he had done before, praising The Hu’s commitment to their craft.

Since exploding onto the global scene in 2019, The Hu have carved out an extraordinary path, taking traditional Mongolian music to festival main stages and arena tours across the world. Their fusion of ancient instrumentation and modern metal has earned them a fiercely loyal international following, with tracks like Wolf Totem and Yuve Yuve Yu becoming streaming sensations and introducing many fans to Mongolian musical traditions for the first time.

The forthcoming HUN album promises to continue that evolution. According to the band, the record expands the scope of their sound while remaining rooted in Mongolian history, mythology and identity. The 11-track album includes titles such as Warrior Chant, Echoes Of My Father and Grey Hun, suggesting another deeply atmospheric and conceptually rich collection.

The release also follows an increasingly high-profile period for the group. Alongside appearances in gaming and television franchises including Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Netflix’s One Piece, The Hu have become festival favourites thanks to their immersive and visually striking live performances.
