The Sherlocks Share Don’t Let It Out

by | Apr 1, 2023

The Sherlocks’ recent single Sirens delivered a huge start for the campaign for their upcoming album People Like Me & You, which follows on 11th August. Now The Sherlocks continue their resurgence by sharing the new single Don’t Let It Out.

The Sherlocks

Don’t Let It Out has all the ingredients of a classic indie anthem, its shout-along hook, squalling guitars and pounding beats coming together to provide a moment that will echo across festival fields and sound just as irresistible on the radio. Frontman Kiaran Crook’s topline simmers with the passion of wanting something more from life, with a relatable story of living for the weekend – an escapist topic that remains as relevant as ever. The new album tune was written by Crook and produced by Al Groves (Bring Me The Horizon, The Reytons).

Check out the video for Don’t Let It Out below:

Of the record, Crook says: “Don’t Let It Out is an all-out anthem of a record! A throwback to the days of a simple three chord banger. No messing around, just a chorus that everyone can scream from the top of their lungs in a sweaty room. Fans should look forward to this tune, definitely one that will be on the setlist for years to come. MONSTER.”

Don’t Let It Out, Sirens and the vehement punk rush of No Retreat, No Surrender show the versatility of the forthcoming People Like Me & You album. It’s clear that The Sherlocks have found the perfect balance between performing with a liberated abandon but also writing songs that reward repeated listens – a swaggeringly confident step forward that will engage new followers and still speak to fans of their Top 10 albums Live For The Moment and World I Understand.

The Sherlocks

Completed by Alex Procter (guitar) and Trent Jackson (bass), The Sherlocks recently announced details of their biggest UK headline tour to date, which commences in October. In the meantime, they recently announced details of an intimate gig at The Parish in Huddersfield which quickly sold-out. The band’s energising new material will boost their already stellar reputation as a live band, which has seen them sell-out Manchester’s O2 Ritz and London’s Electric Ballroom, hit arenas as guests to Liam Gallagher, Kings Of Leon and Kaiser Chiefs, and storm the main stage at Reading and Leeds Festivals.

Good Grief, Bastille Show No Bad Blood At The O2 Arena

Tonight was a night of reflection. Of celebration. Fifteen years in, Bastille sound as good, and appeal to more people than ever. Amy Macdonald Warms A Frozen Hammersmith Apollo With Heart, Humour & Huge Hits

“Are we having a nice time so far? Are we getting a bit warmer?” Amy Macdonald grins, peering out at a Hammersmith Apollo audience bundled into coats and scarves. It’s a question that becomes a running joke throughout the night — because despite the November chill and the decidedly frugal heating, Macdonald sets about warming the 5,000-capacity venue the only way she knows how: with humour, heart, and a powerhouse performance that leaves no seat unshaken.

Never Mind A Wet Night In Stoke, Bad Nerves Made The Best Of A Cold Tuesday Night At The O2 Institute Birmingham

Bad Nerves rolled into theBad Nerves tonight armed with a setlist built for chaos, and although the room was a little quieter than expected, the people who were there lit the place up. A smaller Tuesday night crowd didn’t dull the spark – instead it made the gig feel like a secret show shared only between the band and the diehards. And the band fed off it.
