Blood Orange To Headline And Curate Main Stage At RALLY Festival 2026

by | Nov 11, 2025

RALLY Festival has announced that Blood Orange, the celebrated musical project of Devonté Hynes, will headline and co-curate its 2026 edition at London’s Southwark Park on Saturday 29 August 2026. The London-born, New York-based artist will not only deliver a landmark live set but also help shape the creative direction of RALLY’s main stage, bringing his distinctive artistic vision to one of London’s most forward-thinking festivals.

The announcement follows the success of Essex Honey, Hynes’ first Blood Orange album in six years, released to critical acclaim earlier this year. The record marks a deeply personal return to his roots, exploring themes of nostalgia, identity, and belonging while showcasing his trademark blend of neo-soul, synth-funk, and experimental R&B.

Having recently sold out multiple nights at Alexandra Palace, Hynes’ appearance at RALLY promises to be one of the most anticipated live performances of next summer — a homecoming moment for an artist whose music continues to transcend genre boundaries and influence a generation of musicians.

Returning for its fourth edition, RALLY will once again transform Southwark Park into a hub of creativity and connection over the August Bank Holiday weekend. The festival — co-curated by NTS Radio, GALA, and Bird On The Wire — is rooted in community, independence, and artistic experimentation.

Previous editions have hosted groundbreaking performances from the likes of CASISDEAD, Nourished By Time, Moin, Erika de Casier, bar italia, Floating Points, Ben UFO, and Mount Kimbie. For 2026, RALLY promises to build on this legacy, deepening its ties to the underground scene while expanding its international reach.

In addition to Blood Orange’s performance, Hynes will act as main stage co-curator, bringing together artists that reflect his own values — collaboration, diversity, and a fearless approach to sound and storytelling.

“Devonté’s artistic outlook — rooted in independence, experimentation and creative ownership — perfectly mirrors what RALLY stands for,” said festival organisers. “This year’s event will be our most ambitious yet, uniting boundary-pushing artists who share that same spirit of exploration.”

From his early days in Test Icicles to his orchestral pop releases as Lightspeed Champion, and his evolution into one of the most versatile composers and producers of his generation, Hynes’ career has been defined by reinvention. His work as Blood Orange — across albums like Freetown Sound, Negro Swan and now Essex Honey — has made him one of the most singular voices in contemporary music.

Outside of his solo career, Hynes has collaborated with artists such as Solange, Mariah Carey, A$AP Rocky, and Nathy Peluso, while his film and orchestral compositions have earned him international acclaim, including performances with the London Symphony Orchestra, Sydney Symphony, and LA Philharmonic.

His headline appearance at RALLY represents both a creative full-circle moment and a celebration of the DIY ethos that shaped his early years in London’s underground music scene.
